i was thinking about this last year. wondering where and how i was gonna put my gauges. i realised that if you mount them in the center console in the second din spot they usually face straight back. so i made this, the gauges are tilted towards the driver and the surrounds are rotor shaped.

I have a set of seats that looks like that. The question is, how do you install it into the RX7??? Do you do some modification.

not really - i used the stock seat rails but you have to drill holes in them to match the holes to the seat. the drivers side fit perfectly cuz th width of the seat rails for boh seats matched. the passenger side on the otherhand - that you're gonna need to a metal plate or something and attatch that to the left side of the seat (transmission hub) if you do that you wont be able to slde the seat. but other than that, it's pretty straight forward

yeh are the plastic inserts stock too? all the pics look a fair bit cleaner/transparent than mine lol

i want to figure out how to make some simple parts myself assuming such a thing could be done with some kind of carbon polymer rapid prototyping machine or something else thats hooked up to CAD software that i could use at University or something but i dunno i can barely change my transmission fluid w/o breaking everything heh

I've heard from a friend that u can take the gauges out and just scrape(clean) the orange off. I don't Know for sure how that works but he told me all u have to do is take the orange off and switch to whatever color u want. In ur case blue.

leet thnx! i'll look into that. think i already broke every fastener on the console mount when i tried to check my wiper switch so i doubt i can mess anything up more than it is spedometer hasn't worked in a year either lol. freakin cable snapped right off and i haven't been able to figure out what it's called to buy another one to fix it.

yep what i did was i bought the silver and blue and made my own overlay and then installed it like you normaly would.

i would go with scraping off all the orange unless you are bored and have alot of time on your hands. its a bitch to be honest. ive tried it and its way to much time. IMHO
