Interior overhaul / replacement
Howdy, just thought i would post a few pics of my day with a couple RX7s. The one I got had the interior totally gutted, and Ive been posting looking for an interior in the WTB area. As luck would have it, I found a T2 with most of a very nice grey interior at the boneyard today.
I must have been the first guy into it. Had a complete interior, ( give it a 8 out of ten. better than my absent interior) I took it all, all the plastic, teeh dash, the carpets, and the under dash heating and AC stuff, my car has none of that. Still has fresh looking Illumina adjustables on it, and power steering, I may go gank that tomorrow.
I replaced the rear with the very passable boneyard interior, just missing a few odds and ends, so if you have any sitting around.. Lemme know!
Sorry but all I had was a cellphone camera, pardon the crappy pics:
1)left rear strut tower topper:
2) Right rear strut tower topper:
3)Hatch latch covers, and the little thingies you insert and twist to attach the back spare tire cover to the car
Gratuitous cargo bin / battery holder pic
The back was easy compared to the front. It's all been gutted, no heat ducting, dash is horrible. I DID get a MINT dash and carpet from the bneyard, and all the climate control stuff from behind the dash, so I can install heat and vents again.
4) If you don;t see it in the pics, I probably need it!
One more pic, the 'before' pic:
I'll post more pics as I get the front done. I may do a pictoral heater core / dash / A/C evaporator FAQ, if Im feeling ambitous.
NOok
