Interior Electrical Gremlins

I would try searching for this, but I have no clue what to look for.

My interior lights don't come on when I open the doors. If I'm inside the car, with the car on, the dome lights are dimly lit, and my clock is off. If I click one light off, my clock turns on dimly and my idiot cluster flashes, if I click both lights off, my clock works as normal.

I don't care about my clock, I'd just like to get my dome lights to work. I'm assuming there is a short somewhere between the idiot cluster/dome light area but I'd like another opinion before ripping into it all.

Have you opened up the dome light?
On my otherwise pristine S5 chassis, the dome light was majorly corroded- looked like it came from the Titanic.
The door switches are easy to check as well.
And look at the ROOM fuse.

+1 For the interior fuse. Without the fuse, your lights, clock, and and memory are all reset and do funny things when it's broken.

Previous owner decided to shove a 10amp fuse in that spot, and also run a wire going to the aftermarket stereo under it. Funny part is the dude owned a huge car audio shop in his town......

All works now except the dome light, but I think it's just burnt out. Good time to go all LEDs
