Ok i really did look and did not find anything i wanted to know.
SOOOO sorry if its bin asked befor.
Car:1987 2nd Gen Mazda RX7, Manuel, Non-Turbo/ N/A
1) I am looking to redo the interior of my car (white) and wanted to know what type of paint i can use on the Rubber(i.e the dash) and Plastic peaces, Also what material is the carpet.
2) Exhaust - i have Racing B headers w/ CAT and stock Mufflers. My friend was saying with the stock mufflers its cosing back pressure. Is this TRUE?
Also when i get my smog done and i can get my Per silencer back on i was wondering if you lose HP if instead of Y pipeing i get a Single.
3) (not important, but if you have the time) whats the difference between the S4 and S5 motor i don't need details just what give it the 20 extra HP.
4) Air Intake- ok my intake is just sits on the frame and its making a hole in my filter. with out resorting to zip ties what can i use to hold it up in place.
5) last one, my rubber whether striping is coming off ( u know the rubber on the inside door area But not on the door) i was just going to use silicone to past it back on their but thought i would check with you guys first.
THANK YOU, GREAT LOVE
PS. if you can even only answer one of these questions thats fine

1) Not sure on the Paint... I personally wouldn't paint rubber or auto plastic myself. Exposure to the sun/heat will take its toll after awhile. Automotive carpeting should be available from somewhere around your house although I'm not really sure who would sell it.
2) The Cat is really causing the bulk of your back pressure although mufflers can cause some level of back pressure as well. A good aftermarket muffler set may produce less back pressure than the stock mufflers. You may want to do some research on back pressure in regards to the 5th and 6th ports. Getting rid of it may cause them to not work (double check that as I'm not 100% positive).
2.1) You might actually gain HP by using a single pipe all the way to the back. It really all depends on the system you use and how its designed. I personally like having 2 exhaust pipes sticking out the back.
3) Several differences. If you ask because you are thinking of swapping the S4 for an S5 its not easy. Possible.. But not easy.. Most people that swap engines will swap out the N/A to the Turbo model anyways.
