Interesting FC part at nopionline.com

I found this Phantom LSD kit of some sort at nopionline.com (http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/...A%20RX7%201991)
is this one of those things that 'converts' your non lsd to lsd? i figure it is probably more of a bandaid for non lsd cars rather than a worthwhile piece. anyone know anything about it? I wasnt thinking about getting it, but i might for my coupe if it is worth anything, but i could always get a s4 clutch lsd from a junked car for cheaper...

this is a conversion from LSD to a locker, it basically turns your LSD into a detroit locker style differential. if it works for upgrading open diffs to a locked differential i can't say for sure.

ive seen those its just basically a spring that puts tension on the two spider gears to make them slip less. not the best because its always rubbing on the spider gears so it leads me to think there may be some reliability issues IMO. and its no way like a detroit locker lockers actually LOCK the diff

i figured as much, i saw in some old sport compact car mag where they put one in a ford focus or something like that and it made me think, if it's in SCC then it probably isn't a good idea to put it on my car.

on second inspection i wouldn't pay $10 for it.
