Interest in simple, cheap turbo timer?

Hey,

So im about to put a new oil cooled turbo in the TII, and i decided instead of spending 100 bucks on a bling-ey turbo timer, id just make one, since its really a very simple circuit. The idea is a black box install, with nothing showing except an indicator LED, a 1 minute/2minute switch, and an on/off switch. all of which could be remote mounted in any convenient location, although i was thinking probably making them all fit into one of the blank spots on the console where the aas **** is.

so should i just make my own, or would anyone be interested in buying these? im thinking if i buy components in bulk i could sell them for something like 25-30 bucks shipped, with relatively easy install instructions, etc.

so let me know if this is something you would be interested in..

wait wait......im interested.....while u're building urs...do u think its possible to integrate it to work with a fuel cut off?....so instead of just cutting off ignition....have the timer cut the fuel so ppl with leaky injectors can clear out the engine when it shuts off

well, it would be possible to have the timer keep the car running without the fuel pump when you shut it off, but it would only run for a few seconds till it ran out of fuel pressure, so it wouldnt be any use as a turbo timer. this would also require rewiring the fuel pump.

i think most people would be better with the more conventional means of anti-flooding, such as a manual switch or check-valve removal. however, if you are interested, i could build you a timer (with a shorter duration, too) for that purpose and tell you how to install it with the fuel pump rewire. price will be higher however, unless i get at least 10 people interested in the timers, in which case i can buy bulk components and drop my cost some.

edit: actually, i could probably build you a dual timer, so that it would work as a turbo timer and fuel-cut. pm me if you want details.
