If you can weld you can do it.... The parts alone cost me $355. I should have some pics up here in about a week.. Nothing has happened this week due to the weather, but the fenders are cut and will be rewelded this next weekend.

Well, if you were going to get this done, I'd wait on the paint job.

Yeah... Definetly hold off on the paintjob.. I am having a slight issue with the headlight brackets as my welder was acting like a hoe... But hopefully I can get something for you to look at within the next week.

it might look better if you guys do a rx8 front end conversion onto a fc. I agree that the lines don't look right. It kinda reminds me of all those civics with crazy body kits that make no sense to me. In my opinion body kits that take the stock lines of the car and improve on them is the way to go.

Are you going to change the radiator support too? or just use brackets or something along those lines?

No the radiator support will stay the same... just brackets to move the headlamps...

Didn't someone have pics of the rx8 front end on an FC ? I though I saw that once?.. Personally I think FD would look better, but I'm always curious to see what's out there.

Thanks!

I have been a little busy due to the purchase of my new 7, and having to completely rewire it. I have a new welder and the pannels are cut.

It looks like hood pins are going to be a must I cannot figure a way for everything to line up. The stock buckets will be used but they will require slight modification. As far as the rest of the parts you will have to source them on your own as the fenders will be the only thing I can effectivley produce.

Have any of you checked out Garage-13.com ?

These guys stock the FC-FD front end conversion that is pictured on the first post of this thread. It's starting at $2990AUS, so you do the math, I think it includes hood, bumper, fenders, lights, etc. Worth a look if you tell me, personally, I'm going FC2000, but this is an interesting build.
