Interchangeable Transmissions (i searched unsucessfully)

Okay, basically i just want to know what the difference is between T2 and N/A tranmissions, S4, and S5. ive read that if you swap a t2 you need the whole drive train is this because they dont fit together or just because they cant handle the power? also how does an FD transmission line up in an FC? and finally, will an aftermarket LSD (such as Kaaz) work in both and N/A and a T2? im sure this information is out there somewhere but i bet like 67427 of you guys know this off the top of your head, so thanks in advance.

if you have a TII drive train i'm pritty sure you can use a FD tranny in it. As for NA to TII you'll need the flywheel, tranny, driveshaft, diff, and halfshafts

ill be owning an 86 na base with 5 lug in the next few weeks. im definitely buying an LSD because i plan on drifting. a friend of my brothers has a 13b-rew (or whatever the FD engine is) and im considering whether i should buy that and a t2 drivetrain or an FD engine and tranny and t2 half shafts with the kaaz LSD or if i should just convert the whole thing to a turbo2. this is all stuff to do in the way future, so im not really concerned im just curious. thanks though.

From Mazdatrix site:
For 1986 thru 1988 (non-turbo) the rear mount location and design was changed. The torque and horsepower of the 13B six-port, coupled with the weight of the 86+ models appears to be approaching the design limit of the transmission. We have heard of some being replaced before 10k miles, and we have replaced/rebuilt more than a few ourselves. Adequate maintenance and lack of abuse appear to definitely be linked to longevity.

With the introduction of the Turbo in 1986, Mazda added a much beefier transmission. This transmission is patterned after the early "Ribcase" 13B 5-speed, and appears to be excellent, but they made it difficult to install in other models. The bellhousing diameter (not the bolt pattern) is larger, the flywheel is larger, the starter is different and mounts further out, and the driveshaft yoke is larger. It can be installed in other cars (we've done a few) but it is not a "Bolt-In".

They make a Kaaz for the N/A & Turbo housings.
FD will not work in a FC.
S4 & S5 N/A same S4 &S5 Turbo the same except for 5th gear ratio.
