intake temps

im still running stock mount IC and was wondering if anyones car starts to slow down as the intake temps get high, should i invest in a FMIC?

Wankel7's car will detonate(not really sure if its ping or not but we can hear the noise) if he guns it from slow speeds. At higher speeds it doesn't. Heatsoak=teh ghey

Think about it as intake temps rise, less air is in the mixture, because as things get hotter the take up more space, so you have less air, which equals less fuel, which equals less power. On a side note, if it is excessive like 20+ degrees F than your turbo might be on the way out. Mine sees high ait and the turbo is pretty shot.

Maybe a lot of bent fins in your TMIC or lack of heat shields on the turbo? Was this just a hypothetical question or are you trying to figure out why your car is slowing down?
