So here I was thinking I actually Know stuff about cars! HA, I guess not, anyways, my question goes out to anyone who has a half decent knowlege of cars i guess. I was going to put an intake into my car, but I keep hearing all this stuff about a "Full Intake"! Ok, so heres the million dollar question, the intake i'm getting is made by HKS, it's going to cost about 150 can., Is this a FULL intake, and what the heck is a full intake, or what different intake options are there?

for your '89 just go to a local store and buy a K&N cone filter with a 2.5 or 2.75" hole for around $60cnd. and buy a small breather filter for the airpump for like $10.

it's better then the hks one for alot less...

Well just for the point of answering your question. I do beleive that a full intake includes the throttle body inlet pipe to replace your rubber one that looks like something from the movie "Aliens".

 

Do not buy the HKS intake. The foam filters are crap.
