intake help

ok guys i just purchased an intake for my car and im in the middle of putting it on. i duno what to do cause the mass air flow sensor wont let the car run with when its getting more air than usual. so what do i do in terms of installation and how to deal with the mafs. i think i need to reset the ecu, but i dont know how. please help a rotary newb in distress.

your intake wont get more air by changing the filter out... it may breathe easier but should not get "more" air, otherwise we would all be leaning out the motors doing this... like sectachrome said make sure the afm (what your calling the maf) is level... there is a flapper door inside of it and if it is tilted then the door will open causing the a/f ratio to be wrong and making the car run like ****

Yeah make sure the AFM is level but also, make sure the flap is not stuck on any adapter you might be using to hold the filter in place.

alright thanks guys i checked out some other forums and i finished it right after i got online. pretty easy actually, now i feel dumb. but anyway im glad i could learn somthing new. thanks for the help guys
