intake filter support

intake filter support

hey when i got my car, the filter wasnt supported by any brackets or supports...its an apexi filter and it just sags down to the bottom .... does anyone have any suggestions of what to use to support it...or have any left over from an old apexi system..its bothered me from the start and i dont think its getting all the air it could be getting if it was higher up near the air tunnel

Yeah, I have that filter and even with the stuff supplied it isn''t supported to well.

See if you can bounce over to ApexI website and find the directions. Basicly, the only support is a piece of metal that goes from the support that held the airbox up (It is attached to the shock tower) and it goes over to the tid.

Just get creative man.

yea i was just thinking of buying some metal and bending it then bolting it down

I made a bee-yoo-tee-full bracket for mine out of aluminum sheet and bolted it to the left rear bracket for the stock airbox.....
