Question intake activation

with a usual cone filer you might get off of ebay, do you gotta get a "activation kit" like that comes with k&n filterchargers??

the little oil stuff

I believe that the oil, at least in the K&N does alot of the filtration. Many brands are designed not to use it, but I think those are mostly the ones that use foam filters, or SS.

you can buy the "activation" kits, and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to use some on any intake that uses the paper type filter.
