intake

I have an 88 GXL. I know how to put an intake on a piston engine. What I'm wondering is that is it the same with a rotary engine. Do I just take out the stock air box and put the piping and then the cone filter or is there something else I have to do. I want to add power to my car and I really want to do this mod. Someone please inform me on this because I love my car to death and don't want to screw anything up on it. I'm kind of new to the rotary scene. But let me tell you they are damn impressive. I now know my next car will definintly be a 3rd gen rx7 I'm never going to get another honda or acura. Thanx in advance for the help from anyone

1st, you need to get an adapter plate with the cone filter.....theres some on ebay that sell for $30...

2nd, remove the stock airbox and disconnect it from the metal box.

3rd, install the adapter plate and put on your air filter

4th, warm up your engine, enjoy the new sound of it and go smoke some hondas

You would need to take out the stock air box, put an adapter on the AFM (not sure who sells them these days), and then put a cone filter on there. You can also buy kits with everything in them, just don't go for HKS.

Well if u want a name-brand filter just buy the adaptor separate from the filter.

Where are just the adapters sold? I don't see them on K2RD any more.
