hey everyone, i have a tii hood, side skirts, and rims. i thought it was just a gxl model cause it had 2+2 and all the luxury options. the motor is NA. but when i gave the vin # to the insurance company, it was shown as a
"turbo coupe" model. does this happen a lot? or is my car a tii without the tii motor?

 

year and what is the 8th digit of the VIN ?

 

year is 1989 and VIN is JM1FC331XK0706127

 

that VIN is for a non-turbo with auto seat belts.

The 8th digit refers to the engine...

1= non turbo
2= Turbo

turbo or non it shouldnt matter. state farm told me my car was too old for turbo/NA to make a difference.

 

well just was asking just in case i had a turbo tranny and rear end.
