Insurance quote needed

Hey guys im buying Kevin's(kspurr) rx-7. It is an 88 convertible turbo 2. I plan putting it in my fathers name. on the insurance it will be liability, primary driver is my father and I will be secondary. My old 7 before I sold it cost me $50 a month with this same setup, but it was a 87 base model coupe. If anyone knows how deep in insurance cost I will be in- please let me know.

Yeah, every state and every driver have the potential of being given a different quote. My 7 runs me $86 every 6 months because its listed as a recreation vehicle. I got 2 other cars and my monthly insurance bill is $115 for full coverage on all 3 together. When I lived in NJ, I paid $120 a month for liability on just 1 vehicle, and that was back before there over inflated insurance prices got federal attention for being so outrages.

Most insurance companies go off the VIN, so you will probably be insured for a "convertible", which will almost for sure be more expensive than your old coupe rate. Not to shaft Kevin or anything, but most insurance companies charge the same rate for the 2Gen coupes, regardless of whether they are NA or TII, so you would probably get a better rate if you buy a TII instead.
