Instrument cluster question

I was just wondering ...
I have an 87 t2 and found a late 90's model fd gauge cluster for sale.
My cluster tach redlines at 7000 whereas my cutoff is 8200 right now.

Instead of buying a tach can I make this cluster work with my car?

Any suggestions other than an aftermarket tach...

I am the last person to say this....but do a freaking Search........

Matter of fact <edited for flaming>, there is already a question here on the front page that is asking about gauge cluster swaps......dont you think you could ask there. Why dedicate a whole thread <edited for flaming>
