installing a turbo on a stock 87

i was just wondering if somebody could tell me what would it take to convert my stock 87 rx7 into a turbo, with either a turbo from a rx7 or even an aftermarket turbo. I am not looking for a massive power surge, just a little more perk to my get go. thanks

A lot of people suggest on upgrading the entire drivetrain w/ a turbo swap. Many want to go the route of a 13BT engine to start with.
Some say to just sell the N/A and buy a Turbo II if you really want a turbo.
I'm not sure on putting a turbo on a N/A engine, but their are some ways to get more power out of N/A's, exhaust, intake, taking care of the secondary ports.

Ok I see way to many questions like this ****. If you really want a turbo than go out and buy the turbo. The conversion is going to be expensive and really not worth it in the long run. ANYWAY, if you do want to convert than you need the tranny = a hell of a lot stronger, if you don't convert I would get it too, and I did! Anyway, you than you need the complete damn turbo system, inercooler, wastegate, **** like that. Here is what you need to do with the money. Buy the tranny, buy a intake kit, buy brand new bat, spark plugs, wires, hoses, retrofit griffin rad, make cold air box, new high flow exaust, rebuild, port and polish. There that should get you around 250 hp, right where things need to be and you can take on some of the world with your NON TURBO beast. Now you don't have to worry about non o that turbo ****. Or you could just go out and buy a TII and do that to it and than it would be really fast. Money talks so spend it the right way
