Installing an S5 TB on an S4 or GSL-SE

I am wondering what some people have done with the omp linkage on their cars when swapping an S5 intake onto the car. I realize that the lim, uim, and surge tank will all fit perfectly, but the throttle body is a bit different.

From what I can tell, one option is to keep the S4 throttle body and port it. That may work well, but it is certainly more difficult than swapping parts.

Another option may be to use the S5 TB and somehow adapt the S4 OMP linkage so that the metering pump will still work right. has anyone done this?

I guess the last way to go would be to premix and just leave the omp alone. That option reduces the car's ease of use though.

So, has anyone tried to do this? Has anyone tried to run an S5 NA throttle body on an S4 or on a GSL-SE?

So what are you swapping? the intake tubing or intake manifolds.

When I did a S5 UIM swap onto my S4, I kept my s4 TB for ease of use.
I already had it and knew it worked perfect,
Wouldnt have to rewire an s5 tps to the s4 harness..
To able to use the OMP all you would have to do is rebend the rod. It takes some time to make sure you dont get it hung up on anything, but it works.
When I did emmissions testing, I swapped the stock one back on and lost the rod somewhere. So I rigged up a bicycle brake cabling/tubing to connect the TB to the OMP

Actually, what I'm doing is selling an S5 intake. I have had a couple of people ask me which components to buy and how to set them up. I knew that your method was probably easiest, but I figure that swapping the whole intake from the upper intake to the plastic air intake pipe will probably yield a bit more power. I also figured that the omp linkage could probably be made to work, but I did not have any experience, so for me to give advice in this area would be bad juju. I guess I am interested in hearing how people have set up different S4/S5 hybrid intake systems and how the various issues were resolved. Thanks for the heads up on the S5 tps rewiring issue. Does anyone else have a similar setup?
