Installing remote start, going to get rid of...
...AWS!
Been a long time guys and its great to be back.
I am going to be installing a compustar 6000AS in my 90 vert.
I usually just start it in gear and blip the throttle to get rid of AWS, but this isn't possible with remote start.
I have 2 options.
1) plug the AWS intake to keep the CEL from coming on, or...
2) using a status output to make the car think its in gear, thus canceling the AWS.
Pro's and Con's to either solution?

i think the best way is a plug in the AWS hose, probably with a small hole, so it passes SOME air.
i usually just unplug it though, and plan B is unplug it, and add a 15ohm resistor so you get no CEL

It did not on mine. I have all emissions removed on my car(left bacv and dashpot) none of the emissions solenoids are even plugged in and no cel. These are primitive EFI systems, if you see a cel something is wrong.
