If I have to when I put the turbo back in and find out how off that big u is I may just cut it to what it should be. Damn this sucks!

so you don't have the turbo in yet or the piping leading to the turbo.
things might be different when you install the turbo.

another thing that sucks is I'm not exactly sure where the turbo inlet duct is going to go???

I think you need to make your own intake duckt with a cone filter. Otherwise the stock intake box wont fit.

oh I already have a custome tid however it looks like it is still going to go right where the piping is going now.

well I figured it out thanks to gildardo and the others. Here are some pics for future referance when other people do a search for old school trust intercoolers. The wierd part about this is that the freakin bov is on the bottom of the car :confused: oh well here are the pics.

dude, that's so you can get an exhaust shop to bend you up a pipe that connects to that outlet one on side and onto your exhaust on the other end. make it sound like no bov exists :)

why would you do that?? Sleeper affect??? I guess I've heard of stranger things but my car is no sleeper. I have silver racing stripes :) I got it painted that way a while back when I owned this car the first time now that I'm about 4 or 5 years older and now own it for the second time I think I would have liked it just a sleeper however I do like my stripes and probably plan on keeping them. The other problem with haveing a bov way at the bottom is now I gotta rout a freakin' vac line all the way to a vac source.

not for sleeper. although that would be cool... iirc, the exhaust flowing past the bov outlet would create a l'il vacuum that would help get all the air out.

well this bov has a vac line from it to the intercooler wich I've never seen before what do you think it is for???

imho, the bov uses the pressure as measured from the intercooler to trigger the valve. not 100% sure though

that one went; tb->u bend->crossover-> 90 degree 2.5" pipe-> "w" pipe-> almost straight but not quite->ic

and then clocked turbo (points down)-> long rigged silicon hose -> 2" 90 degree pipe -> ~ pipe -> 90 cast elbow-> ic

that car has a t04 on an hks manifold, if you have something else, the piping will be different.

The last piece to the puzzle. At least now their are two ways to install it :).

Great thread, Just a quick question I have an intercooler setup like this, going to make the piping. I was wondering are you guys using 2.5 or 2 inch.

I'll check the size of the piping tomorrow and post it. Gildardo, I tried that configuration today but it didn't fit??? Well the part that didn't fit was the staight pipe that goes to the outlet of the intercooler. The hks bov must be aftermarket because without it, it would work I think but with it it is just to big to fit in there. I'm going to try better tomorrow and see whats up and will post the results of that.

You could move the BOV to the long pipe.

thats where mine is, its right next to the alt

well the long pipe has a pov on it so I have to keep this configurations however I was able to fit it in there without the couplers so it may fit in there with the couplers if I where to pry my ass off. I'm going to post what works for me in the end when I get my turbo back.

And the piping is ? 2.5 or 2 and what material is it ( alu or SS or plain steal )

looks like 2.25. The material used for mine seems like aluminum because it is pretty light compared to my old ghetto fmic used with exhaust piping.
