Installing new brake rotors--extra piece in rotor vane?

I am installing new front brake rotors today. I bought two from the same manufacturer with the same part number. One has this extra piece of wire in one of the vanes. Was this something used in the manufacturing process that should have been removed? It is wedged in there pretty good and before I go yanking it out, I want to be sure that it is not supposed to be there.

My questions are usually answered by searching, but I couldn't find this one.
I also apologize for the picture quality. It would seem that I am not the best digital photographer.

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I had never seen this before and wanted to be sure. I'll install it tomorrow.
