Installing KYB AGX. New dust boosts.

Well i am planning to install my kybs. Do i need to get new shock/strut rubber bumper/stop and dust boots?

If so does KYB sell them?

If they are in good condition/reusable, why bother.

check junkyards and salvage yards for usable pieces. Any rx7, most miatas, and check on Nissans too. Most of the time they'll have the same piece or at least close enough to use.

Way to go......

Why install new suspension and not replace the little rubber bits and pieces that make it clunk like crap.
Might as well do it right while you're taking it all apart.

^^ yeah i love my baby, shes got those old boots why not get a new pair with ure new legs lol.. I feel you.

Thats why it takes me so long to get parts, i like to research and get the best for the best price.

Cant wait to see how all my suspension and braking feels. I got a really hard ride lol. Car is dropped cuz suspension is shot. I think when i put my shock/springs my cars gonna go up a few inches lol!

Replace your strut mounts (especially the fronts) if you are hearing any annoying squeaking while turning. You can get them from any auto parts store.

^^ No my strut mounts arent making noises ^^ Just read that the dust boots help keep any dirty/debris from accumulation on the rods of the suspension, so i dont want to get surprised when i get there and they could possibly be destroyed. So they had the boots for pretty cheap at autopartswarehouse, so i copped them from there.

If i were to get them, what about the RB front strut mounts that lower the car?

yeah but ima remove the actuators cuz i dont need them. SO the strut mount should be the same w/o the AAS actuators. But theres nothing wrong with my strut mounts, no abnormal noises. Just saggyness from shocks/springs

Shox.com has a set of four Tockico Illuminas for $446 which are the externally adjustable type. If you want the Tockico Blues which are non-adjustable they are significantly cheaper - $266

THANks for that info but i was kinda referring to the strut mounts that hold the spring down on the shock lol.

Check out JDMwerks on ebay he sells shocks for pretty goddamn cheap!

Oh, should have read the post again. Yeah, I got my shocks from him, I would buy again if I needed some. I checked Rockauto.com and they have Spicer shock mounts for front and rear of the vehicle. Also strut mounts and the bearings as well.
