Question Installing gauges...a few wiring Q's...

TACH: Autometer C2 w/shift light
I have to clip these wires depending on how many pulses the ignition system is. 8cyl (4 pulse), 6cyl (3 pulse), 4cyl (2 pulse), 4cyl (1 pulse). (1)Which system do I set it up as?
The green wire goes to the tach signal. (2)Where do I get the tach signal from?
A/F RATIO AND BOOST: Autometer C2 electronic gauges
The white wire goes to 12v dash lighting. (3)Which wire do I use for this?
The red wire goes to any 12v accessory that is hot even when cranking. (4)Which accessory power wire do I use for this? (5)Can I use the same 5 amp fuse for both gauges, or two different fuses?

TACH: Autometer C2 w/shift light

On some of the RPM silinoids that have this option they require it set to 8cyl to work on a rotary. So I asum this should work.

The green wire goes to the tach signal. (2)Where do I get the tach signal from?
Coils

A/F RATIO AND BOOST: Autometer C2 electronic gauges
The white wire goes to 12v dash lighting. (3)Which wire do I use for this?
Pull the guage trim out. On the headlight switch quick connector. I balive the dash light is r/g but use a test light here and find wire take 5 min.

The red wire goes to any 12v accessory that is hot even when cranking. (4)Which accessory power wire do I use for this? (5)Can I use the same 5 amp fuse for both gauges, or two different fuses?
The 12ga red wire in the same clip I mentiond above will work. Fuse yes you can use same one.

I'll try not to say anything about putting a big, stupid, ugly tach on your dash. Oops, too late...

At the trailing coil wiring harness there's a short wire sticking out with a female bullt connector. Plug into there for a tach signal; set the tach to 4-cyl, not 8.

For lighting, it's far easier to make you connection at the cigarette lighter wiring than the headlight switch wiring.

For the A/F meter, make both your power and signal connections at the ECU as per this diagram.

Will pin 3I stay hot even while cranking? In the instructions it said specifically to use something that stays hot even while cranking.

Do I do 4cyl (1 pulse) or 4cyl (2 pulse)?

and BTW: I have relocated the heater controls to the glovebox and the tach sits in the center console with a SMP carbon fiber console. It looks nice.

Do I fuse the power wires, even though they are coming off the ECU or no?
(Sorry, lots of questions)

boinger 4cyl is a 4 stroke, rotary is a 2 cyl 2 stroke in essence.

rotary has one power cycle per revolution

Set it to whatever gives you the correct reading. It will be pretty obvious if the tach is reading wrong because it'll show half or double the correct reading.

What's wrong with the stock tach anyway?

That wire is fed from the 30A EGI COMP fuse. Another fuse won't hurt though.

No, it is not. Try not not to confuse others with your drunken BS...
