installing a front mount

Anyone know what kind of mod is needed to be done to the front lip to make room for the front mount? i heard theres none really needed. i just want to make sure so when i do my T2 swap i can go ahead and pull off the bumper and do that at the same time.

search fmic install.

it all depends on the intercooler/pipe routing/bumper

it all depends on the size and where/how its mounted. you can do it with no modification, and you can completely cut-up the bumper. neither way is right nor wrong in my opinion.

just take off your bumper, mount the IC and see where it doesnt fit. go from there.

all i know is that the corksport setup mounts so you neeed no mod to the bumper.

Up in the non-technical and pictures section you will find many pictures of FMIC installs. Just search "FMIC pics" and you'll find a number of threads. They should give you a great idea on how various setups are accomplished.

One thing to keep in mind is that the piping and position of most aftermarket kits sucks. There's 10 miles of pipe and you must remove the bumper support brace to fit the cooler.
