Installed turbo timer, gauges. Now car blows 30A egi fuse
I'm still searching, but haven't found this same situation yet. I just installed an old school Greddy turbo timer, and autometer mechanical boost and electric oil pressure gauges. The turbo timer comes on when the key is turned on and times out when key is turned off. When I actually started the car today, it ran for a while then died because I wasn't keeping the revs up while it was warming up. Boost gauge pulled vac, but oil pressure gauge sat at 0. The car would then crank but wouldn't start. I pulled EGI INJ fuse and cranked the motor in case it was was flooded. Car still wouldn't start. I noticed the EGI COM fuse was blown so I replaced it. I tried to start the car again. It cranked but wouldn't start. I got to the engine bay in time to see the EGI COM fuse glow orange and pop again. It started once, but I don't want to keep blowing fuses trying to diagnose this. Please help!
Car is 87 TII. Cone filter intake, 3" Turbo back exhaust, FCD, all emissions removed, FD alternator. No problem prior to gauges and TT being installed.
