installed mazdaracing short throw today.>!!
i love it!!! but... i got 3 blue bushings?? i installed it with 1 bushing between spacer and ball. were else do i install a bushing? my other one inside the tranny housing was still good i think it was orange. i just left all that in there. did i do it right? is there a write somewhere? i searched but couldnt find it. if there is one could someone find it or at least help? thanks also is it normal to be kinda hard to shift? its almost as slow as the old one took to shift.btw there was a good amount of some kind of oil in there also.
Dang noobs, I think they sent you too many bushings, btw i could use some
PM me if you're willing to rid yourself of the spares.
You have to get used to the shifter and you MUST increase your shifting effort simply because of the properties of the leverage(sp?) and how its changed out of your favor.

no. i bought it from a forum member thats why i dont know much about it. i did research and all i found was a comparison with mazdatrix short throw. i wouldnt just throw myself out in the open if i had instructions. lol...... i hate being a noob!!!!so anyways i knew it would be more difficult to shift but jeesh...... well i guess its not that bad, just figured if someone paid 185 or whatever it is you wouldnt have to really force it in like i do. although it doesnt grind into second (when the tranny isnt warmed up) or when i dump it from fith to third like it used to, so i guess i benifet from that.
Its a short shifter! You ARE paying for the hard shifts. Its IMPOSSIBLE to have a shorter throw without ALSO having increased effort.
A short shifter that is still easy to shift isn't short enough in my book.
