Installed CAI and now it won't hold an idle after reaching operating temperature.

1987 rx7 N/A

I installed an HKS super megaflow cold air intake with an aluminum intake arm from corksport, and how it won't hold an idle at operating temperature.

Besides a vacuum leak, what could be the cause of this?

Also, i used "The Right Stuff" gasket maker (i heard you didn't need gaskets when using this stuff) with no gasket on the intake manifold when i put my intake back on because I sent in my primary injectors to get serviced and had to take it off. I'm thinking this might be the cause of it, but I am not sure.

ummm check for vacuum leaks on the intake you installed or check around the area that you worked on for loose or missing piping.

Turbo or NA? Does the pipe have the tube to feed the BAC?

Try opening your idle adjustment screw. You may have fixed a vacuum leak that was allowing it to idle before. Now after the thermowax warms up and the throttle closes, it's not enough air to idle.

Does it still stay running if you give it gas/tighten the throttle cable?
And use some carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks. Looking doesn't count as a vacuum leak check.

Make sure all your sensors are plugged in. Check for vacuum hoses. Make sure your AFM is mounted right side up and not tilted or upside down (flap door may not operate properly). Check your TPS readings. Play with your idle adjustment screw. Check your timing. Adjust the fuel mixture screw next to the air box. Check your spark plugs for fowling. Check your plug wires for correct installation.

Did you wire your AUX ports open or delete the ACV/air pump or do any emission removal?

Lastly, spray starting fluid around the engine while running and listen for mixture changes.
