Could be stuck open, but i think it would boost more even with the wastegate stuck open... Maybe your turbo is fully screwed.

Wait a minute, unless I'm confused, wouldn't the wastegate stuck open cause a lack of boost, since it is letting all the boost "out"? A wastegate stuck closed would mean none of the boost is let off after reaching the intended boost level, hence the term "waste"gate, its letting off excess boost.

a wastegate is on the exhuast side if it stuck open its bypassing hte exhuast around the turbo keeping it from spooling up

but ya i would think that you should be able to boost more than 1psi with it stuck open how does it idle could it be a huge vac leak?

What's performance like? Does it feel like only 1psi?

You sure it's "1psi" and NOT "1.0kg/cm^2"?

ok so the gauge works......all i did was get an air hose and sprayed 35psi into it, it went all the way up, then all the way down. Then T'ed it off and walla. The thing that sux is, it only works under hard boost though, and i'm only runnin about 9 or 10 psi and i still have a fuel cut/ suck back type of problem if i go 100% on the throttle like i'm hitting 14 psi. But if i go about 75% i'm fine??? what the hell is going on ??????

Fuel cut is at 8.6psi boost. Sounds like it's doing what it's supposed to.

yep, get a FCD and some type of fuel management if you dont already have it before you go and blow stuff up.
