Inline fuel filter

Will an aftermarket inline fuel filter such as this Russell

Which is rated to 75 psi be a suitable replacement for the oem fuel filter?

or would I need this trickflow...

rated for 300psi be more what I need?

Personally, I would prefer a 10-micron filter to those 40-micron filters.

Also, keep in mind that small inline filters generally need to be cleaned or replaced annually, while the stock canister filter is good for about 60,000 miles.

If you are looking to replace the stock filter, then something like this will be a better choice:

I just went through a major pain in the butt with a 1st gen and a contaminated fuel tank and I must say that those little filters will clog very, very easily.

so something a little bigger and with better filtration? I liked the idea of the stainless steel filters because they were cleanable/reuseable.
