Injectors question (searched)

So I checked the FSM and I can't see what injectors I'm supposed to be using on my 88 n/a. I checked the FAQ by Icemark (rip) and it says...

"88 13B NA, high square offset, 460cc, purple, 195500-1350"

So please help me out, Primary injectors are what? And Secondary Injectors are what? I'm almost sure they're different. Right now I have all 4 are the orange ones. I have literally a drawer full of injectors fors FC's so I hope I have what I need... Any help is MUCH appreciated! Thanks!

if your car has a resistor box, then you will use low impedance injectors. If you have no resistor bank, then it's high. Mazda changed over halfway through 88, so it's a grey area.

In my 88 vert, they were red high impedance. I think they had the offset tab, not sure.

Primaries and secondaries are the same size & impedance (stock).

Okay I'm drawing a blank, but for the sake of maybe helping someone else someday, How would I know if I have one, where would this resistor box be?

You could also measure the resistance of the injectors. That's the 100% sure way to tell.

'87 was the year they switched to high impedance half way through.

You have an '88, so if no one's played with the injectors you have four red-orange 460cc high impedance injectors (offset tab). You shouldn't have a resistor pack.

The FAQ colors are questionable. Apparently some NA injectors turn a red-purple color with age/heat, but I have 12 that are the red-orange color. True purple injectors are 550cc low impedance turbo injectors.

Great Info! Thank you. No I don't have that box, I did notice that on my buddy's 87 T2 yesterday however, I wondered what that thing was. Cool so it looks like I have the correct injectors after all... Anyone have a good pic of what these resistor packs look like (incase someone else needs to see one for reference someday?)

here..I used SEARCH..(go figure,it works!).
That is Basically what it looks like,
NOTE: THIS unit pictured is a Fuel Pump Resistor Relay.
The Resistor PACK is very close in appearance to the above Pic.it is Located Under the stock air box.. In Front of the passenger Strut tower.Bolted to the Chassis.

EDIT:..here is another thread. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=resistor+pack
look at the 3rd picture..above the Throttle body
you can see a small rectangular part with a Black and yellowish Connector on it,,THAT is a Resistor Pack!
