injector or rail?

i have been having trouble idleing since installing my new engine and i think i found the problem,
on the rail that is visible with intakes on i was checking that the injector wires were attatched correctly and when i pushed down on the right injector fuel flowed down from where the rail and injector connect, but not on the other side.

so my question is does that mean that i need to replace the injector or the rail?? (i checked and the rail is tightened down fully)

thanx in advance.

Are you saying that fuel sprays outside of the fuel rails when you do this???

it leaks downward from the top of the injector (by fuel rail) downward to the engine

The upper o-ring probably got pinched or torn upon insertion to the rails. They need to be lubricated with a little oil or grease to prevent this.

It stands to reason that the car should not be driven like this an the o-ring needs to be replaced.

Just enhancing the above answers. The o'ring should be lightly coated in vaseline prior to installing. Also once installed, the injectors will turn, but that's normal as apple pie. Also use new top and bottom grommets to prevent Air leaks at the bottom of the injector.
