Injector and ECU questions, confused?!
OK I have for starters a 88 GXL with high imp stock injectors but I'm running 720cc low imp injectors in the primaries with the 10ohm 10 watt resistors wired inline.
Now my question is if i put in a 87 TII ECU using my stock wiring harness just swapping out the ecu do i have to worry about changing my injectors? From my understanding that the resistors imp are change with the resistor packs in the wiring not the ECU?
Oh and before everone goes into saying blah blah about you can't do this. Just answer my question i have everthing else figure out with changing the harness to work with the ecu.

Your first mistake was putting those huge injectors in the primary positions. They should be in the secondary positions. Plus I really hope you have something to control those with...
Yes you can swap ECU's without impedence problems, assuming you've taken care of the different wiring the two ECU's have.
And you should make it clear in your post that you've turbo'd the engine. Saying "I have a 88 GXL with 720cc low imp injectors" is going to have peple telling you how stupid that is for an NA...

Thanks again for your help NZ

Actually the NA ecu has been controlling everthing fine but I'm having flooding issues and the TII will solve that and give me better timing control.
As far as the wring difference there isn't much difference in wiring and i need to swap out the pressure to boost sensor and add a knock sensor. Gettin pretty much everthing for free other than the chip for ECU.
