Injection cleaning supplies for replacement
I was going to probably get my injectors cleaned at this place
and they say that they install new filter baskets, o-rings, and pintle caps as necessary. SO i was wondering what else I needed in order to get this job done. Do I need a new UIM gasket or can I just use some gasket sealer. What other things do I NEED to put them back in and get it all back together.
On another note has anyone done business with these guys. It seems like they have a really good price for everything.
Thanks

well most people would recomend using a new uim gasket... however several times i have gotten away with jus tusing some sealer on it. i used the orange copper II rtv or what ever its called... if you can find one easy id just get a new gasket you might need some new vac hoses too if they broke while taking it all apart...

Why take chances, and risk having to do the job again? Just use a new gasket, make sure everything is spotlessly clean; if ANY component is in question: REPLACE IT.
While you are in there: Check your 15-20 year old fuel and vacuum lines.
Inspect your Pulsation Damper
I am constantly amazed at the number of people who find the TIME & MONEY to do the job right the second time around.

OK so where is a good place to get a new gasket. would they have them at any auto parts store?
If not I have this Permatex High-Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker (redish orange tube) I believe will work. I used it on the BAC when I put it back on and it does well.

I have not had any problems with RTV sealant.
Like the directions say, apply a thin coat & let it set before assembly.
The injector O-rings are fussy.
A drop of oil on the O-ring when you mate it to the rail works wonders.
Any time you pull the injectors, have spare O-rings handy in case one gets scratched.
The biggest hassle will be the old/brittle vac tubing.
