info on S5 manifold on S4

Hey everyone, I just got an S5 lower, upper manifold, and throttle body and I'm attempting to swap these parts onto my S4(88 GXL). First, I noticed that the S5 UIM was wider than the S4. So a direct bolt up to the S4 LIM is impossible without excessive fabrication. Second, the throttle bodies are interchange due to the absence of emission controls. I have a couple questions.
-VDI, what does it stand for and is it mechanical or electrical or both?
-If the VDI is mechanical, how much pressure is needed to function properly?
-Is it possible to set up the S5 LIM to run mechanical actuators identical to the S4?
-If the actuator ports are welded shut and the sleeves removed is it possible to divert the pressure hose to operate the VDI?

Been there done that... you need to search. check out this link - http://howto.globalvicinity.com/gv_w...i=63&co=1&vi=1

or this one - https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=728943

Anyway...you need to keep your s4 throttlebody & LIM. keep your S4 injectors & BAC as well. It's not hard to make it all work together.
