I hate how tall my shifter is (stock shifter, stock ****...) so I was screwing around with it... I took that little chrome thing off of it, screwed the **** all the way down (forced it a bit too, oh well) and it's probably a good inch, maybe inch and a half lower... So, anyone who hasn't tried it, there's something you can do that doesn't cost a dime.

or you could always take a cutting torch to it, cut out a section and weld it back together then dremel it smooth.

If you just want the actual shifter shorter you can take apart the stick part by twisting the top part from the bottom part. It will be very short.
