IM new to rotary motors

I just bought a msd ignition box msd 6a for my 89 probe gt trubo witch now has a locked up tranny and is under gowing an FE engine converson so i bought this rx 7 to play with and i have the box just sitting around will it hook up the the rx 7 its an 86 gxl thanks.

If you need to ask, you shouldn't be doing it yet.

And a great source for info is on top of this forum in the FC faq's. lots of stuff is covered there.

Also you should search before you ask about topics that have allready been done quite a bit.

But good luck with everything. you shoudl really sell that POS probe and stick to 7's.

The stock 7 ignition system is good for a lot of hp... something like 500+. I would just stick with the stock ignition system.

I agree. On the same note, the ignition seems to be reliable, so "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

yep, msds are only good for very minimal gains on rx7s. most only do it if the engine is reving over 8k regularly (to help with ignition brake up) or to help the MPG a little. not gona be a big power adder in and of itself.
