I'm an idioth that locked himself out

I'm such an idiot, I locked myself out again...The first time this guy had a slim jim and was nice enough to unlock my door for me. But yeah now I need some help doing it without a slim jim. I'm not doing all that great and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me? I would appreciate it if flamers would keep their bull to themselves because I already know how rediculously dumb I am.

I save myself by creating a spare, and put it in my wallet...I always have that with me, and if I lock my keys in my car....safe!

The weather strip on the door is removable. Pop it off with a screw driver. When its removed the locking mechanism is exposed. Get a wire hanger and pry at it. Might take a while but it'll work.

Coat hanger with a hook bent on the end. It takes a bit of talent to figure it out but if you move it to the back of the door and move it up and down you have a good chance of getting it unlocked.

Don't try and pull off the trim...all the little white clips will break and if you still have the metal trim it will bend or fall apart due to unseen rust.

Nope. Slim Jim FTW
.

You don't have to hook anything so all you need is a flat piece of metal. Metal banding works perfect. You want to pust the unlocking rod DOWN - putting a little tape around the very end of the slim jim to thicken it up makes it even easier. That guy above that wants you to pry on anything is a dumbass.

Fish around for the rod in the handle / lock area and even a rookie will be in in less than a minute. I can slim jim a 2nd gen faster than it can be unlocked with a key. No ****.

i tried with a coat hanger but failed miserably and I've never used a slim Jim (come to think of it I don't think the general public can buy a slim jim in cali. I can't even buy a retractable baton.)

All you need is a piece of metal banding - the type that they use for packing. Like I said, you don't have to make a hook or anything - just cut it square because all you have to do is push the rod down.

Its technically not a slim jim, its just a piece of cut banding.

get a metal ruler; works perfect for me. Ive also been able to unlock it by just wiggling the end of a tire guage into the key socket. Ive locked myself out twice so far in the past year and both methods have gotten me back in. Worst was when I was testing out the audio system to see just how loud it was outside the car(stupid idea, i know), and I unknowingly locked it with the volume extremely high. Needless to day, i kept the neighbors up for about an hour before i was able to get in using a ruler.

Yeah I had a metal piece but had no luck. I also had a hanger and had no luck. Like I said I'm such an idioth for not being able to do this. I had a bad day today too and really needed to get into my car, I tried breaking the window but it was like indestructible. I used a spark plug, the butt of my knife, and even a lug wrench and didn't even leave a mark. My mom ended up calling AAA and buying me a spare key. I'm such a loser...

One day I'm going to post a video of just how easy it is to "break" into these cars without breaking anything to help the lock-keys-in-car types. The video will be about 5 seconds long. No kidding.

Thing is - some fucktard will show up at my house trying to get in my car. In case you were wondering... no one will ever find their body.

Just sayin.

the fc has got to be the easiest car in the wold to break into with a coat hanger... you literally just make a inverted hook on the end, slide it under the weather stripping against the window... and push it down by the lock mechanism.

Watch the switch on the interior side of the door, the switch will start moving when you find the correct spot, once you get it on just push down gently and click shes done.

its super easy, probably have done it > 20 times now on various FC's.

its called a binder. or a flat piece of cardboard. slim it in between the seal and the window. give the cardboard a snug bump downwards and hopefully your alarm will go off IF you have that. just do that and see if the locky thingy will unlock.
good luck meng

peace

unless youve had your locks rekeyed in the last few years. This will probally work. I can open my car with other FC keys, Fd keys, Fb keys, the key for my Cressida works too.

+4. I have seperate ignition and door keys, and the the ignition key works in the door despite being signifigantly different.
