from the original owner who took great care of it. It had a new engine put in it with only 8K miles. The car is being sold for $1,000.

Any things I should look for before I buy or things I should know about?

Please give us more information about the car. That way, we can offer some more advice.

You stated it was a 1988 RX-7 w/ a supposed new engine (8k miles on it).

You neglected to mention other things for example:

1) Is it Turbo or NA?
2) Do you know the specific model?
3) Are there any aftermarket parts on it?
Etc.

We would help you more IF you gave us some more info.

lol yea that would help. I got a 88 SE for 3,000 with 10 on rebuilt engine and tranny. You got one hell of a deal... or I just got screwed but whatever... I say take iT!

 

Compression test. Also look in the fenders for rust.
