Ignition woes
First off, I did something extremely dumb while changing the battery in my rx7, and that was to assume the +/- of the prongs were the same as the last battery. It wasn't, I hooked it up, got some sparks, cursed, flipped the battery around and hooked it up correctly.
Anyway, now my car won't start. I've tried diagnosing the problem myself with the Haynes manual. Basically I'm not getting spark. When I hooked up an inductive timing light to the plug wires, the light did not flash.
I checked all the fuses, both in the engine compartment, and all those fuses inside the car as well, and they all check out ok. I've checked the leading and trailing coils, then replaced them just be sure. I've checked the crack angle sensor, and it was fine. I tried to get spark by spinning the CAS by hand, but had no luck with that. I've perused the forums, and tried unplugging the AFM, and plugs from the ECU.
I'm at my wits end, and I'm not really sure where to go from here. I could really use some suggestion as to where the problem might be and how to diagnose it.

Take another look at the ENGINE fuse inside the car. It controls fuel and power to the Main Relay i.e. spark.
Jumper the fuel pump check connector and turn the key to ON. Do you hear the fuel pump pumping? Put your ear to the gas fill cap if not sure. Got fuel? Then the engine fuse is good and the main relay is good.
IF the above is good.........bad. Real bad. You need a digital meter to find out what is wrong from here on. You make no mention of having one so I'm not going to continue.
