hi everyone ive been searching for a write up to bypass using a key to start the car. basically i was put the ACC and ON in a toggle switch set up with a push start. can you guys help me out and walk me through it. thanks. i used the searched button but no luck.

You would tap the Black wire in the Ignition Switch Harness to the toggle along w/the Black/Red wire in the single wire plug also found at the Ignition Switch Harness. This will power the start circuit through your toggle. The key would have to be in the on position as well.

 

is there a way i can toggle switch the ACC and the ON on 2 different switches

 

Why would there be a need for two switches? And do you want to bypass the Ignition Switch completely so as you don't use it to turn on the accessory fuses and the fuses powered w/the key to on.

 

To completely bypass the ignition switch, it must be physically removed or you'll still need a key to unlock the steering column.

 

But if you took the physical switch off the steering column there wouldn't be a lock.

 

What I meant by the term 'completely' was just from an electrical standpoint.

 

yes i wanna cancel it out completely. one switch for acc and a switch for ON position

yeah the ignition cylinder is off. someone tried to steal my car and messed it up and now i wanna just cancel them out and hide the switches. and yes my car did have a dope *** alarm that didnt stop them.

 

The switch works as follows. Turn the key to ACC and voltage from the Black wire of the Front harness passes onto the Blue ACC wire. Turn the key to on and the voltage from the Black wire passes onto the B/W wire and the B/R wire in the plug w/the Blue wire and the B/W wire and the B/R wire powers the ignition fuses ( both IG1 and IG2 fuses). Turn the key to start and the voltage from the B wire passes onto the single B/R wire which powers the start circuit. So you'll need a series of toggles. You really can't join a group of these wires together because there isn't enough voltage when starting to power everything. In a normal situation, power is cut to the ACC and IG2 fuses/accessories such that only the IG1 fuses and the starter circuit is supplied power to start the car. So you'll likely need at least three toggles if not four, but it depends on how you want your system to work. Do you want the ACC fuses powered seperately from the fuses powered w/key to on or powered at the same time.
