ok here is the deal...i just got a parts car that *RUNS* but the jackass i got it from didnt have the key and in trying to push it locked the wheel...i now need to move the car, so if i hotwire it, will it also unlock the wheel?? and if so, which wires are which and how do i hotwire it?? if near central jersey, PLEASE HELP!!!

 

you could jack up the front and wheel it around on the jack... might want a few people to help hold it.

 

hot wiring the ignition won't unlock the wheel. this is a mechanical lock that is released by turning the key. might be easier to remove the lock assembly or have a locksmith pick the lock and cut a new key. Mazda dealer may be able to find the key code from the VIN and cut a new key. locksmith is probably the easiest and cheepest fix.

 

well i just played with it...got a screwdriver in the cylander, and it stays unlocked while it is in there, but im not gonna drive it, i just wanna see what works and what doesnt, that way i can keep what i want and part out the rest (by the way, 88 gxl 5 speed, light blue for parts ) lol so i got it unlocked, but i wanna get it runnin so i can see what works...HELP!

 

i mean i would like to hotwire it so the engine turns on and ****...but if i can just get all of the accessories to turn on thats good *for now*
