I need to test to make sure my fuel injectors are firisng on startup, and I want to just hold the rail by hand while someone is cranking the motor. However while gas starts spraying, i dont want any spark at all... so if I unplug the coils, will the injectors still fire?

I was going to say, fuel injectors firing may not be the best situation....

If you're testing your injectors out of the engine you should be aiming them into a container to catch the sprayed fuel. How is a spark inside the engine going to ignite that?
