If you could, would you......

If you could get a third gen, would you? Would you be willing to sell your FC for it? Would you rather have a 2 gen? I think I need to buy a third gen quick before I burst.

I could get a 3rd gen... but IMHO they aren't worth it. Check out the interior... everything is plastic screwed directly into cheap plastic. They went too far with the "lightweight car" concept IMHO. Also the fact that they go though motors (and turbos many times) every 60k - 80k miles...

There are a few 3rd gens that I would love to have... but in order for me to LOVE the 3rd gen it takes $5,000 - $10,000 in mods added to the price of a MINT condition 3rd gen.... For the most part I don't care too much for stock 3rd gens... unless they are in mint condition or something like that.

Just my $0.02,

nope, ever try to work on one? pain in the ***. I'd also rather spend my paychecks on mods, not repairs.

when I have the $$ for a 3rd gen. I'll either have a kick *** 2nd gen or something else.

used to dream about owning an FD and stuffs..
driven my friend's FD couple times also..
it's nice..feels really good...espeically the super low driving position..

but...pain to the *** to maintain it, and i like my FC, feel more comfortable driving it also,
by the way my friend had his FD for about 18 months...driven it only for around 7 months i would say...
and YEAH THAT SUCKS...

also 1 thing i figured...FD is getting into the outdated sport car category now...(IMO), then u maybe wonder about FC, no they are not outdated sport car....FC are like old school stuffs already now..one of the classic and stuffs..
hahahh

but yeah if i got some $$, definitely buy myself an FD..
but will never sell the FC for it...
hahah..caz FC market price is low..why not keep the baby...

If I can keep the tII I will but there is no sense in depriving the world of a great condition FC if I'm driving an FD all the time and stuffs...
I do really love my FC but I'm sure I can love an FD just the same.

I'm lovin' the feedback, keep it commin'.

I've been wondering about a 13bt swap into the FD instead of the otherway around. Has anyone ever tried that? Would it be worth it?

a modded 13bt can achieve stock Fd power, what if that is all you want?

I'd think it would be more reliable than an FD in stock trim.
I looked at a site all about what to look for to keep your fd working, all the vaccume hoses and ditching the stock dp/cat for an aftermarket one just to keep it working good stock.

The 2nd gen is much more comfortable drive, feels more stable. The FD could be a handful and felt like it would snap around at any moment. I was lucky to not get hauled off to prison in the for speeding in the FD. Plus, so many FD owners are complete *******. Ive had my t2 since i graduated High School, and have put up with the "i own an FD" attitude from many (not all) FD owners for years. 2nd gens owners are great bunch of guys. Ive loved second gens for a long time, and cant imagine not owning one. I might get another FD, but it will never be as fun the FC....

I started shopping/researching FDs when my 'vert was gonna need a new motor. Anyone 'in the know' I spoke to told me they were great for weekend only cars, but if I made it my daily driver, it was gonna cost me $$$ to keep it perfect. That, coupled with the motor life expectancy of 'only' 100k miles before a pricey rebuild and no-one withing 200 miles of where I lived that would work on one pushed me towards putting another engine in the 'vert.

This was 3 years ago & I was hoping to be driving an RX-01 by now . Oh well, one more year to go.

Would rather have a ***** out Tll that a stock FD. More aftermarket stuff available, donor cars, etc. I'm 6'4", my Tll fits perfectly. I have to pull an FD on like a pair of tight jeans. Some of the 2nd jen rexs with ground effects are way better lookin than the 3rd gens.

I love the looks of a 3rd gen, HOWEVER a 2nd gen with with RE Amemiya body kit looks just as good...or better IMHO!! If I had the money for a 3rd gen, I would mod the hell out of the FC and get a sport bike. I'm amazed at how much looks you get in a bike....it’s a panties dropper

Would love to own an FD, but would never sell my FC or even the FB for one. Theyre awesome cars, but not suited to a daily driver. great weekend car though. I will own an FD, but Im keeping my other two 7's too. "Collect all 3"

i would sell my soul for an FD. Well, not quite, but definatley my FC. In fact I am, anyone interested?? Well heres my reasons. Ive been wanting an FD ever since..... well since I got my FC. I love my FC to death, used it as a daily driver for about 1.5 years and never had an ounce of trouble. I love the styling of my FC, and feel soooo comfortable driving it. Now I just use my FC as a weekend car anyway, so reliability isnt that much of an issue. I was gonna keep my FC and just buy an FD also. Well , a friend of mine bought a 93 VR touring a few months ago. He let me drive it just cuz he knew it was like my favorite car. I have to say that Ive never felt that way driving a car b4. Felt like I was driving a 1/2 million dollar exotic or something. Interior felt like it was just wrapped around me, like I was in the cockpit of a jet. Everywhere I went people looked in awe at it, it was amazing. Then I went out and had a little fun with it. It made the handling of my FC feel like a mini-van, and the acceleration was incredible. After that I pretty much lost interest in my FC, I even drove a 90 T2 after that to compare, and it was still no comparison. I love FD's more every day, cant wait till I get mine. I will just sit in my garage and stare at it all day. Incredible cars. Once again, the car in my sig is 4 sale, if anyones interested

lol my philosophy...

With the Pokemon philosophy of "Gotta catch them all!" I guess the same applies to the RX-7 market.

I can't wait to buy a 1st gen and a third gen!
