I have been attempting to find the color code for the maroon interior of my ’90 GXL. I need the only piece that is not available from neither Mazda nor Mazdatrix, the defroster grill center cap. I emailed Mazda USA and within 2 day got and actual human typed response. Below is a copy/paste of their email. It’s interesting that Mazda has interior colors but does not know color codes even for their new cars.


"Thank you for contacting Mazda North American Operations. I appreciate the opportunity to respond to you.

Unfortunately, Gerald, we do not have any archive information for the color code of an interior piece. Even for new vehicles, we do not list interior plastic piece color codes. The items are simply available in a color or not. Only for exterior paint or some cladding might we have newer paint codes listed. I regret that we cannot assist you in this matter and suggest that you may wish to purchase any available color and paint it to your preferences, approximating the color, if that is your wish.

i would say your best bet is to take an interior piece to a paint shop that can sample and color match it for you.
