Idling

Just bought a 1990 convertible! Drove it about 30 miles home but if I gave it gas over 1/4 throttle it would spit and backfire! Let off gas pedal a little it would run fine! Got it home it had wrong plugs in it! Changed them. Ran little better well adjusted timing they had it off also ran little better. Adjusted tps ran little better and idled better but when I got few rpms check engine light turn on and it would run rough again! Dash lights was flickering so replaced stock alternator with Taurus alternator and now got plenty of power but cranks and dies unless I give it gas will not idle if I let off gas! Need help any ideas? Thanks!!

Alright tried to pull a code and it won't do it. So I'm guessing Ecu fried since it won't pull a code!
