Idle and TPS problem?

Hello, I have an 87 TII which I recently got a few weeks ago and I am pretty new to the whole RX-7 scene. My motor has about 3000km on it since being rebuilt and I'm having problems with my idling fluxuating from about 2100-700rpm. I have checked the resistance of the TPS as per the FC3S Pro website. It reads from 1k ohms up to about 6k ohms at WOT, and does go smoothly between them. But I noticed if I very slowly open the throttle, at about 1/3 open the resistance spikes anywhere from 8-12k ohms but only for a sec and is hard to get it so high. I am not having problems with hesitation at all, just the idle is changing on me, could it be the TPS? I have checked the lines for cracks and they seem fine, next I am going to clean the BAC valve, any other ideas?

Thanks

vaccum line is probably in bad shape.

tps at idle with a hot engine should be around 1K. You cannot set it if the engine is cold.

If you are getting spikes in the TPS's measured resistance, its fuggered. It should be a smooth sweep.
