Question idle/throttle problem

Yesterday I was messing with my throttle body on my 90 GXL. After putting it all back together, my idle doesn't work. The high idle works, but it was only idling at about 2500 instead of 4000. I also had the battery unhooked for about fifteen minutes when I reset the ECU. That may have caused the problem. It may be the throttle cable, the TPS, or even the low idle solenoid, but I would like to know if anyone knows what to do in this situation.

Thanks
Monty

Whenever I reset my ECU, my car acts funny for a day or two. Doesn't quite feel at full power, and it idles differently. It should never high idle at 4000. It should goto 3000 for 17 seconds if you start your car in neutral with your car cold. Them it should drop to 1500 and go down to 700 slowly as the car warms.

Since it should never idle at 4000, then what do I do to fix that? Is it a serious problem? Will I get any better performance if I change it?

You will not get any better performance by making it idle at 3000. However, me and several others don't think its good for an engine to rev to 4k when its first started. I never let me engine rev above 3-3.5k until its completely warm. You can stick the car in first and start the car, and this disables the AWS(accelerated warmup solenoid) from starting with the idle that high. I really don't know you could that down to 3k rpms. Anybody else?
