Idle surging.. Installed new TPS...

During cold start assist when it's idleing between 1250-2000RPM i get MASSIVE surging.. Idle bounces up and down ~700RPM...
It has been doing this ever since i installed a new "used" TPS..
I have it adjusted to 1k ohm.
Once car is warm it idles very nice at 750 RPM... I can't drive it anywhere in 1200-2000RPM range.. The car jerks back and fourth and almost wants to stall..

Would this have anything to do with me fooling around with the idle screw on top of the manifold?

Could do actually, maybe you should fiddle some more until it settles. :P My guess is the TPS is telling the ecu to put in not enough fuel, but you have set the idle up with the idle adjust screw, so it gets more air than it needs and has to put more fuel in...

make sure your idle properly set. mine did this with a 'new' tps as well. I had to readjust my mechanical idle because it was too low and the bac was trying to compensate making it bounce.

Does anyone have a OEM setting for that screw on top of the manifold?
Something like 5 turns from bottomed out or something?
