i didnt drive my car for 2 days and then all the sudden when i started up my car today i hear a beeping. Then the rpms go up to 3 grand and they didnt come down for like 5 mins and then once it dropped down to 1500rpms it started to surge up to 1700rpms and then back down to 1500rpms really fast( aprox 1/2 second).

the car is going in the shop in 2 days so i wanna try to fix it myself so i dont have to pay lot of money.

 

I always suspect mis-adjusted TPS or sticking throttle body first...

Possibly sticking BAC valve too...

hmm well my car is getting a tune up and if that doesnt fix it my dad will pay for fix it he said

i thought maybe a vaccum leak i dunno

my car is doing the exact same thing after I cleaned the throttle body and intake ports. I have a friend a Mazda and he says he's going to reset my TPS hopefully that works, too bad I gotta wait till friday(you know how side jobs are).

 

well i fixed it!!!!!!! i just drove it around all day with the shitty idle and today when i started it up it was perfect.
maybe just got moister or sumpthing in there after 2 days of sitting in this coldish weather.
